Who We Are

Period & Beyond is a product of Devcollar Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act 2013 in India.

When these Terms say "we", "us", or "our", they refer to Devcollar Private Limited. When they say "you" or "your", they refer to the person using Period & Beyond.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Period & Beyond — whether the mobile app or the website at periodandbeyond.com — you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app or website.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Devcollar Private Limited under the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Period & Beyond.

By using the app, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will delete their data immediately. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the app, please contact us at support@devcollar.com.

3. The App is Free — Forever

Period & Beyond is provided free of charge. There are no subscription fees, premium tiers, or feature locks. Every feature of the app is available to every user at no cost.

We intend to keep it this way. If this ever changes, we will notify users clearly and in advance, and we will not charge for features that were previously free without giving you a meaningful choice.

4. Voluntary Donations

We offer an optional "Support the App" mechanism for users who wish to contribute financially.

  • Donations are entirely voluntary. The app works fully without donating.
  • Donations are one-time and pay-what-you-want. There are no recurring charges.
  • Donations are made to Devcollar Private Limited and constitute company revenue.
  • Donation copy displayed in the app reads: "Donations go to Devcollar Pvt. Ltd. to support the development and maintenance of Period & Beyond." This is accurate and honest — funds may be used for any legitimate business expense of Devcollar Private Limited, including but not limited to app development, infrastructure, operations, and salaries.
  • Donations are non-refundable once processed, except as required by applicable law or payment platform policy.
  • Payment processing is handled by a third-party provider (such as Razorpay or the relevant app store). Their terms apply to the payment transaction itself.

5. Medical Disclaimer

Period & Beyond is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical advice.

This is non-negotiable and must be clearly understood before using the app:

  • All cycle predictions, fertile window estimates, ovulation tracking, and wellness insights are for personal awareness and pattern tracking only.
  • Nothing in this app constitutes a diagnosis, medical recommendation, or clinical opinion.
  • Do not use this app to make decisions about contraception, fertility treatment, pregnancy planning, or any health condition.
  • If you have concerns about your menstrual health, reproductive health, or any related symptoms, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
  • The algorithms used in the app are based on general population data and scientific literature. They are estimates, not certainties. Individual cycles vary significantly.

By using the app, you acknowledge and accept these limitations. Devcollar Private Limited expressly disclaims all liability for any health decisions made in reliance on information generated by the app.

6. Your Data and Privacy

Your privacy is the foundation of everything we build.

  • Your health data is stored on your device only, encrypted at rest.
  • We do not have access to your period data, symptoms, moods, notes, or any personal health information.
  • When you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and Medical Disclaimer in the app, we record your acceptance (app user identifier, document version, and timestamp) on our servers for compliance. This record does not include health data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
  • We collect only anonymised, non-personal analytics data to keep the app functioning well.
  • Partner sharing (if you use it) is end-to-end encrypted and consent-based. You control exactly what your partner can see.

Your use of the app is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Period & Beyond only for its intended purpose — personal wellness tracking — and in accordance with applicable Indian law.

You must not:

  • Use the app if you are under 18 years of age
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
  • Attempt to circumvent the app's security or encryption mechanisms
  • Use the app to store data on behalf of another person without their knowledge and consent
  • Use the partner sharing feature to surveil, monitor, or control another person without their full and informed consent
  • Use the app or website to transmit harmful, abusive, or unlawful content
  • Attempt to interfere with the app's servers, infrastructure, or the experience of other users

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access if we become aware of a serious breach of these terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in Period & Beyond — including the app, website, design, branding, logo, copy, cycle algorithms, and educational content — belong to Devcollar Private Limited.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the app or website
  • Use the Period & Beyond name, logo, or branding without our written permission
  • Claim ownership of or create derivative works from our content

Educational content published on our blog is authored or reviewed by qualified medical professionals and is the intellectual property of Devcollar Private Limited.

9. Third-Party Services

The app integrates with certain third-party services, including:

  • Analytics tools (e.g. Google Firebase) for performance monitoring
  • Payment providers (e.g. Razorpay, Apple App Store, Google Play Store) for donation processing
  • WordPress REST API for blog and educational content
  • Google Drive / Apple iCloud (future feature) for optional encrypted backup in your own cloud storage

We are not responsible for the practices, terms, or content of these third-party services. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to your use of their services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Period & Beyond is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Devcollar Private Limited disclaims all warranties including:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy of cycle predictions or wellness insights
  • Warranties that the app will meet your specific requirements

We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the app's availability and accuracy, but we cannot guarantee these at all times.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Indian law, Devcollar Private Limited shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app
  • Any health decisions made in reliance on information generated by the app
  • Loss of data due to device failure, app uninstallation, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Any damages arising from third-party services integrated with the app

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the total amount you have voluntarily donated to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Indian law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Devcollar Private Limited, its directors, employees, and representatives from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misuse of the app
  • Your violation of any applicable law
  • Any content you generate or share using the app

13. Termination

Your right to terminate: You may stop using Period & Beyond at any time. You can delete the app and all your data from within the app or by uninstalling it from your device.

Our right to terminate: We reserve the right to discontinue Period & Beyond or restrict access in cases of serious misuse. If we discontinue the app, we will provide reasonable notice and guidance on how to export your data before shutdown.

We have no obligation to retain your data after you stop using the app.

14. Changes to the App

We may update, modify, or remove features of Period & Beyond at any time. Since the app is free, we do not owe compensation for changes to its features.

However, we commit to:

  • Not removing features without reasonable notice where practically possible
  • Not introducing charges for features that were previously free without giving you a meaningful choice
  • Keeping the core period tracking functionality available as long as the app is active

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do:

  • We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
  • We will display a notice in the app or on the website for material changes
  • Continued use of the app after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance

If we make changes that significantly affect your rights, we will seek fresh consent where required.

16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India.

In accordance with the Information Technology Act 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, Devcollar Private Limited has appointed a Grievance Officer.

These Terms & Conditions are the legally operative version. In case of conflict between the English and Hindi versions of this document, the English version shall prevail.
